BOHEMIAN ORCHESTRA
SEASON OPENS ON THURSDAY At the Town Hall on Thursday evening the Bohemian Orchestra will present the first concert of its 15th season. Excellent numbers have. been arranged for the orchestra by the conductor, Mr. Colin Muston, and several new artists will make their first appearance. Her Excellency Lady Alice Fergusson and party will attend the concert The programme includes “Ali Baba” (Cherubini), “Tone Poem” (Goldmark), “Romance in C” (Sibelius), “Spanish Dance” (Saltarello), “Bird Scene” (“Hiawatha,” C. Taylor), “Beceuse” (Jarnefelt). Solo violin, Miss E. WhiteI law. Miss Theo Halpin will play: Piano Concerto, No. 1, in E Flat (Liszt), (with orchestral accompaniment). Miss Gwenyth Evans will sing: “A Summer Night” (Goring Thomas), “The Great Awakening” (A. Kramer). Vocal numbers include Pagliacci’s “Prologue” (Leoncavallo) sung by Mr. John Brec.
