Cambridge Trots Are Next On List

DECLARATION OF HANDICAPS ACCEPTANCES ON FRIDAY The annual fixture of the Cambridge Trotting Club will take place on Saturday, May 5, an dthe function promises to be the most successful yet held under the auspices of the popular country club. Mr. C. E. Gooseman has declared the following handicaps for the various events, acceptances for which close on Friday next at 5 p.m. with Mr. Walter Stopford, secretary, or Blomfield and Co., High Street, Auckland: INTRODUCTORY HANDICAP Of £100; 1£ miles; 3.52 limit.

REMINDERS Owners and trainers are reminded that nominations for general events to be decided at the winter meeting of the Auckland Racing Club to be held on June 2, 4 and 6, will close at 5 p.m., Friday, May 4. Nominations for the winter meeting of the Wanganui Jockey Club, which is to be held on May 17 and 19, are due to close at 8 p.m., Monday, April 30. Handicaps will be declared on Monday, May 7. Handicaps for the Egmont meeting (first day on May 10) are due on Monday. April 30, and acceptances close at 8.30 p.m. on Friday, May 4. Horses From Australia Queen March, with a fine foal at foot, returned from Australia by the Marama. Also on this steamer were several youngsters purchased at the recent Randwick sales on behalf of Messrs. J. Williamson, Alison and Twohill, and Messrs- "Wright, Stephenson and Co. Included in the team was a gelding by Flying King—Vangar, which is to go into F. E. Loomb’s stable at Te Awamutu.
