HOCKEY IN HAURAKI

WOMEN’S COMPETITION (From Our Own Correspondent) NGATEA, Monday. The second round of matches of the Hauraki Plains Womens’ Hockey Association’s inter-club competition was played on Saturday last, in fine weather. At KopuanAi the Ngatea school team was beaten by three goals to nil, the scores being secured by Misses Edna. Candy, M. Harwood and Ethel Candy. Miss M. Beaver secured the three scores for Waitakaruru in the match against Ngatea at Waitakaruru. and at Turua the Kopuarahi *B” team was beaten by two goals to nil, secured by Miss G. Hamilton and iliss E. Stephens.
