PORT ALBANY FOR LONDON.—The C. and D. Line advises that the steamer Port Albany should leave New Plymouth to-day for Australian ports to load for Port Said and London. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Union Company’s Marama and Maunganui both left Sydney this afternoon, the former vessel for Auckland and the latter for AVellington. Both vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. TOFUA SAILS TO -M O R ROW.—Taking passengers, mails and cargo, the Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua leaves Auckland at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning for Suva, Tonga and Samoa. GAMBIA RIVER TO LOAD.—Henderson and Macfarlane have been advised that the tramp steamer Gambia River left AVestport yesterday for Makatea, she is to load phosphates for Auckland. The vessel is expected to arrive here about the middle of May. CANADIAN BRITISHER.—The local office of the Canadian National Steamship Line advises that the steamer Canadian Britisher leaves Lyttelton to-mor-row for Dunedin, thence Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is due here on April 29 and is scheduled to sail on April 30 for New York, Boston and Montreal. NIAGARA DUE MONDAY.—Due at Suva early this morning from Vancouver and way ports, the Union Company advises that the R.M.S. Niagara was to leave again at noon for Auckland, where she is due next Monday morning. At 10 o’clock the same evening the Niagara sails from Auckland for Sydney. SLAG FROM ANTWERP.—En route from Antwerp with basic slag for discharge at Auckland and Wellington, the Belgian steamer Scheldepas left Panama on April 12. She is due at Auckland on May 12. The New Zealand Shipping Company will act as the local agents for the vessel. PORT ADELAIDE DELAYED.—The C. and D. Line advises that the. motorship Port Adelaide has been delayed at Wanganui and now leaves to-morow for Gisborne, thence AA’ellington and Port Chalmers to complete her loading for Home. The Port Adelaide is to sail finally front the Otago port on May 1 for London, via Las Palmas. MESOPOTAMIA LEAVES OCEAN ISLAND.—Advice has been received by Henderson and Macfarlane that the tramp steamer Mesopotamia sailed from Ocean Island on April 19 with a full cargo of phosphates for discharge at Auckland and New Plymouth. The vessel is expected to arrive at Auckland on April 30. KIA ORA TO LOAD. —The Shaw, i Savill and Albion Company advises that the steamer Kia Ora, at present completing her discharge of Liverpool cargo | at Dunedin, commences loading there and [ leaves next Sunday for Oamaru, thence I Timaru, Wanganui and AA T ellington to | fill up. The vessel is scheduled to leave | AA’ellington finally on May 5 for London, i via Montevideo and Teneriffe.

PIAKO TO FILL UP.—Leaving Wellington to-morrow afternoon for Napier and Auckland, the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the steamer Piako is due here on April 26 to complete her loading. On April 30 the vessel is to sail finally from Auckland for JJew York and London, via Panama. LUBRICO ARRIVES. —A* arrival in the stream at Auckland last evening was the Standard Oil Company's tanker I,ubrico with a quantity of San Pedro bulk oil for discharge into the Vacuum Oil Company's tanks at freeman's Bay. The tanker berthed this morning at Western Wharf. The vessel was to have come direct to Auckland from the Pacific Coast, but because of a shortage of oil at Melbourne she was diverted to Wellington, thence Melbourne and Auckland. If the Lubrico had made Auckland her first port, however, she could not have discharged on account of the oil lire at Winstone’s oil store. The Lubrico was the first tanker to bring a cargo of bulk oil to Auckland, arriving here on September 16, 1926. Since then she has been engaged in the Australian trade. Fair weather prevailed for the tanker s passage from the Pacific Coast, the voyage being of an uneventful nature. She left Melbourne last Sunday for Auckland. Captain G. A. Johnson is in command of the Lubrico, and associated with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr. J. IV. Giffen; second,' Mr. S. T. Swettanos: third, Mr. F. P. Ball; chief engineer, Mr. K. C. Warner; second, Mr. H. M. Guntler: third, Mr. R. A. Rogers; fourth, Mr. Paul Scrowlar; chief steward, Mr. G. Hollman. The Vacuum Oil Company, Limited, the local agents, advises that the Lubrico is to be dispatched from Auckland at six o'clock to-morrow morning for Honolulu for bunkers, thence San Pedro or San Francisco to load for a destination not yet known.
