APPOINTMENTS GAZETTED
(From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day. The appointment of Mr. L. A. St. John Reid as a lieutenant of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, New Zealand Division, has been gazetted. The following appointments have been gazetted: Queen Alexandra’s Wellington-West Coast Mounted Rifles. —Colonel C. G. Powles, C.M.G., D. 5.0., to be honorary colonel. North Auckland Regiment.—Lieutenant D. G. Gemmell, Second C Battalion, transferred to WellingtonWest Coast Regiment. Waikato Regiment.—Second Lieutenant P. A. Hickling, from Wellington Regiment, to be second lieutenant. The appointments of Messrs. L. I. Day, G. U. Martin, W. C. S. Leys, H. H. F. Morton, First C Battalion, as second lieutenants on probation, are confirmed. Canterbury Regiment Second Lieutenant R. B. Wood, First Battalion, is transferred to the Wellington Regiment.
