APPLES FOR MOTORISTS
SUPPLIES ON SUNDAYS ORCHARDISTS FINED Henderson orchardists who have been turning honest pence selling fruit on Sundays were told at the Police Court to-day that such trading must cease. Ivan Borieli, Walter McLuckie, Martin B. White, John Sam Borich and Frederick Averill were each charged with exposing fruit for sale in Great North Road on Sundays. The police evidence was that defendants had made a practice of selling apples to motorists. Defendants were each fined 10s and costs.
