NEW AWARD FILED Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. Under the Dominion Stage Employees’ Award, which has been filed, first machinists, touring, receive £7 11s 6d a week and first machinists, resident permanent, receive £6 2s 6d. First propertymen, touring, receive £7 7s 6d; resident permanent, £5 12s 6d; first electrician, touring, £7 7s 6d; wardrobe master, touring, £5 17s 6d; resident permanent. £4 12s 6d; wardrobe mistress, £5 17s 6d; stagedoor keeper, resident permanent, £ 4 2s Od; stage hands, resident permanent, £4 7s 6d. These are minimum salaries for the grades mentioned, and other grades and casual hands arc also provided for. The award provides for the payment of overtime for hours in excess of 48 weekly worked by touring employees, and specifies daily hours for other workers.
