(From Our Own Correspondent) PAPAKURA, To-day. On the Bombay courts on Saturday tho Bombay Club defeated the Papalcura Methodist Tennis Club by 10 matches to 2. Bombay names first: Mixed Doubles. —Mr. and Mrs. Teesdale lost to Miss TI. Beams and \V. Kitson, 7—-3; Miss Evans and Harris beat Miss T. Richardson and R. Collicutt, 7—2; Mrs. Landon and S. C. Shaw beat Mrs. Huckstep and I. Williamson, 7—l; Mrs. Rolson and S. Lowrie beat Mrs. W. Richardson and T. C. Seaton, 7—l. Women’s Doubles. —Mrs. Teesdale and Miss Evans beat Misses Beams and Richardson, 7—o: Mrs. Landon and Mrs. Rolson beat Mrs. Huclcstep and Mrs. W. Richardson, 7—G. Men’s Doubles.—Teesdale and Harris beat Kitson and R. Collicutt, 7—6; Shaw and S. Lowrie beat I. Williamson and A. N. Other, 7—2. Men’s Singles.—Teesdale lost to W. Kitson, 7—3; Shaw beat I. Williamson, 6—3: S. Lowrie beat T. C. Seatort, 7—S. Women's Singles.—Mrs. D. J. Miller beat Miss D. Clarke, 7—5. Stanley Bay Tennis The Ngataringa Tennis Club at Stanley Bay concluded its first season on Saturday afternoon with tennis, afternoon tea and a prize-giving. M.r. C. M. Browne, president, congratulated the club on getting five new courts laid down and paid for in one season and indicated that the club hoped to have a pavilion ready by next summer; the club had made an impression in inter-club play, having representatives in semi-finals of men’s singles and men’s doubles at the Easter tournament at Xorthcote, and in the C grade open championships at Christmas time. The final of the mixed championship went to Miss J. Daniel and Mr. N. Haggott, who defeated Mrs. Cox and M.r. H. Anderson, 6—4, 6—4. The final of an impromptu American tournament went to Mrs. Cox and R. Hender, who won by 4 points in a 93-point competition from Miss Prideaux and Mr. 11. Anderson. The Mayoress of Devonport, Mrs. E. Aldridge, presented the season’s XDrizes: Aten’s Club Championship.—Mr. X. Haggett. Women's Championship Singles.—Miss J. Daniel. Mixed Doubles. —Miss Daniel and Mr. X. • Haggett. Women’s Doubles.—Miss Johnson and Miss Daniel. Men’s Doubles.—Mr. X. Haggett and Mr. J. Storry. Men's Handicap Singles.—Mr. X. Haggott. Women’s Handicap Singles.—Miss Daniel. Handicap Doubles. —Miss M. Waddell and Mr. X. Jones. Whitworth v. Birkdale A return match was played between Whitworth Club, Auckland, and the Birkdale Tennis Club on Saturday. The Birkdale Club won by 6 sets, 60 games, to 5 sets, 49 games. Whitworth names first: Men's Singles.—C. Moller beat G. Bentley, 7 McMillan lost to Bert. Moller. 2—6; Grahame beat F. Schor-ma-n, 6—3.
