FLAW IN AUTHORISATION ? IRREGULARITY VALIDATED (From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Irregularity in connection with 2 Jie signing of the ratepayers’ coni sent to the special rate in the central i area of the Hauraki Drainage District * is validitated by an Order-in-Council t - gazetted to-night. Apparently a number of ratepayers signing the consent to the special rate witnessed each other’s signatures, 1 which rendered the proceedings in- , valid and the authorisation of £I,OOO . drainage loan abortive. The order will save the necessity of going through the whole proceedings 3 again.
