HARBOUR REVENUE

DECREASE IN MARCH Revenue from both Waitemata and Manukau Harbours last month shows a decrease on the figures for the month of March, 1927. From the Waitemata the cash receipts under revenue headings for March, 1928, amounted to £32,701, a decrease of £1,948 on the figures for March, 1927. The figures for six months to March 31 show a decrease of £2.512. From the Manukau the receipts for March, 1928, amounted to £563, a decrease of four large vessels of 10,007 1927, and for six months ending March 31, a decrease of £123. A grand total of 750 vessels, of 382,456 gross tons, entered the Waitemata in March, representing a decrease of four large vesels of 10,907 gross tons, and an increase of 31 coastal vessels of 5,437 gross tons. The arrivals at the Manukau consisted of 30 vessels, with an aggregate of 11,611 gross tons. This was an increase of seven vessels, but a decrease of 3,268 gross tons.
