COLLISION AT CURVE
TWO MEN INJURED (From Our O ten Correspondent) MAT AM AT A, Tuesday. As a result of a collision between a service car and a touring car driven by Mr. Alcock. of Tirau. near the Tirau Bridge this morning. Mr. Alcock and another young man received concussion and other injuries. The cars were travelling in opposite directions and collided at a curve. The front of the service car struck the other car a glancing blow, causing considerable damage. The young man was sitting in the back of Mr { Alcock’s car, between the two daughters. They escaped unhurt, but the young man received concussion and cuts on the body and limbs. Mrs. Alcock, who was seated in the front with her husband, escaped Injury, as did also two lady passengers in the service car.
Mr. Alcock. in addition to concussion, had several Tibs broken and he and the young man were removed to a private hospital. Both were unconscious when admitted, but are nowprogressing well.
