ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

THISTLE V. HUNTLY THISTLE (From Our Own Correspondent) HUNTLY, To-day. The city Thistle team journeyed to Huntly yesterday to meet its namesa,ke in the mining district, and the game attracted a large crowd. The game was fast and exciting throughout, a splendid display of clever soccer being given by both teams. The visitors finally won by three goals to one after a very even contest. Carter, Kay and Webb scored for the Aucklanders, and Kennedy notched the only goal for the home side. After the match the visitors from the city were most hospitably entertained by the Huntly Club, before returning to town after__an enjoyable outing.
