INVITATION ACCEPTED AGGRESSOR’S ARM INJURED Thomas Hayes, aged 24, invited another man to fight on Saturday. The invitation was accepted, and Hayes went to hospital afterwards. A T the Police Court to-day, Hayes, with an arm in splints, pleaded guilty to a charge ot using obscene language. Constable A. T. Breed said that he was called on Saturday to a house in Newton where accused and another man were fighting on the verandah. Accused was using obscene language when asking the other man to fight, saying: “Fight you Accused was arrested, and taken to hospital, where his arm injuries were attended to. “You have been punished enough,” said the magistrate, Mr. E. C. Cutten, as he discharged Hayes and ordered him to pay 19s 6d medical expenses.
