DWELLING-HOUSE DAMAGED GOOD WORK BY BRIGADE (From Our Own ' Correspondent) OTAHUHU, To-day.. A six-roomed house, owned and occupied by Mr. Samuel Trimble, in Queen Street, Otahuhu, was partially destroyed by fire at 2 a.m. yesterday. The alarm was given by Mr. Lewis, and a smart turn-out of the Otahuhu Fire Brigade saved the building from complete destruction. Mr. Trimble was away, and the housekeeper and her daughter were the only occupants of the house. The lire originated in the kitchen, which was destroyed. The adjoining rooms were damaged by smoke and water. The total damage is estimated at £2OO. No insurances are available.
