Forgery Alleged. —Frank Henry Gull, aged 30, charged at the Police Court to-day with forging and uttering a cheque at Wellington, was remanded for a week. Mormons Dispersing. —The large Mormon camp, now being held at Ngaruawahia, will be disbanded tomorrow. Maoris axe present from all parts of the North Island. Road Patrol. —The new road scou'-s appointed by the Auckland Automobi!*Association were on duty on the Great South Road over the week-end. and also to-day. Assistance was given to a number of motorists in difficulties. Broken Orders. —-John Dennehy, aged 42, and Elizabeth Carswell, aged 48. each charged at the Police Court today with breaking prohibition or<f% _ - for the fourth time, were fined £.2, in default seven days’ imprisonment. Fire in Garage. —A fire in a garage ! attached to a boardinghouse in Wellesi ley Street recently was attributed to | some burning rags. The owner of the establishment, Mrs. Annie Leydon. ! states that it was the coyer of her ; motor-car which was burning. The i car. which cost £ 600, was not seriously J damaged.
