DEMONSTRATION RESULTS Press Association. MASTERTON, Saturday. The L'nited District Fire Brigades’ Association demonstration was opened this morning on the Masterton Park Oval. Results are: One-man Championship Event.— Masterton A, 62 2-ss, 1; Carterton A, 64 3-ss, 2; Dannevirke A, 67 2-ss, 3. Two-men Event.—Dannevirke A, 38 4-ss, 1; Waipukurau A, 40 4-ss, 2: Masterton B, 41 2-ss. 3. Five-men Standpipe and Union Event.—Masterton. 355, 1: Lower Hutt, 36 l-ss, 2: Petone, 36 3-ss, 3. The 17th annual conference was held last evening, the president, DeputySuperintendent G. Doran (Lower Hutt), presiding. The election of officers resulted: —President, Fireman H. Braggins (Masterton); vice-presidents. Foreman O. Silbury (Petone), Mr. C. Robinson (Napier), Superintendent R. A. Anderson (Martom; treasurer, Foreman H. Price (Hastings); secretary. Deputy-Superintendent R. Henderson (Hastings); auditor. Fireman J. D. Donovan (Hastings). The next demonstration will be held at Marlon.
