ABOUT POLYDECTES
his North Island form over six furlongs, and over seven furlongs, too, Polydectes had few superiors in the hack ranks. A few weeks ago he was sold to a Southerner, and he figures in the Courtenay Handicap at Riccarton on Monday. The Absurd gelding is among open company, but he is so speedy that the public will probably make him favourite. With 8.11 on Monday he is not overburdened.
