“SWIM, GIRL, SWIM”
Catalina Island, off the coast of Southern California, and the startingpoint of the famous Catalina Channel
swim, is the location for the start of another channel swim in Bebe Daniels* latest starring vehicle for Paramount, “Swim, Girl, Swim.” The picture is being shown at the Britannia Theatre. Many contestants who participated on the famous original, which was won by George
Young, also took part in the production. Gertrude Ederle, of English Channel fame, is a member of the supporting cast.
An interesting film of the recent oil fire at Freeman’s Bay, showing the conflagration from various points, is also being screened.
