SCHOOLBOY’S DEATH
SCIENCE EXPLOSION VERDICT AT INQUEST Press Association. PAHIATXJA, To-day. The inquest was resumed by the coroner, Mr. J. D. Wilson, concerning the death of the boy Leslie Wilfred Murphy, who received fatal injuries from an explosion of hydrogen in the science room during a science lesson at the Pahiatua School on the afternoon of February 6, pieces of flying glass penetrating Ills abdomen. An open verdict was returned, the actual cause of the accident being a mystery.
