“HAMILTON HUSBANDS”
ENTHUSIASM FOR LOCAL FILM
JJAM.LTON is following fast in Auckland's footsteps in pioneering the fiim industry in New Zealand. Although Mr. Rudall Hayward, of Auckland, is lending valuable guidance and assistance, it is evident that he is meeting with more enthusiasm there than in other towns in the province. Arrangements for the production of “Hamilton Husbands,” are well forward, and local players are “on location,” having scenes “shot” every day. The scenario was written by Mr. Arnold Gozar, while the production of the film has been entrusted to Mr. A. E. Manning. Trainees at the Hopu Hopu camp have had a diverting time watching the antics of the “screen colony” during the last fortnight. Other scenes have been taken on the Waikato River and at St. Andrew's golf links. The picture should be in circulation in less than a month.
