WRETCHED CITY COUPLE WOMAN STEALS WATCH 111, drugged and destitute, a man and woman are living together in a poor apartment in the city. \ T the Pplice Court to-day, the , woman, a frail creature, aged 33, | was charged with stealing a gold j watch and chain and pendant valued j at £l3 10s. | Chief - Detective Hammond ex* j plained the woman’s domestic circumstances, and said she had stolen the watch from another boarder’s room. She was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence in three months and her name was suppressed.
