TUATARA SEEN IN KING COUNTRY

ATOROHANGA is full of the discovery of a tuatara lizard, supposed to have been made by Mr. D. Kerrigan, a settler at Otewa. According to Mr. Kerrigan, the reptile was 18 inches long, and he distinctly saw its blue tongue as it made for a crevice in the Rangitoto Ranges. The discoverer has studied the lizard in captivity, and is sure he has made no mistake.
