UNHEEDED WARNING
PERSISTENT CHINESE THREE FINED £2O EACH “These warnings seem to have little effect,” said Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., at the Police Court to-day when three Chinese appeared before him charged with remaining in New Zealand longer than the time allowed in their temporary immigration permits. The accused were: Wong Ching, Chang Mun and Wong Kee. They were each fined £2O, in default two months’ imprisonment, and deportation orders were made in each case.
