MR. CLAPHAM ELECTED (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Monday. The by-election held to-day to fill the vacancy on the Hamilton Borough Council caused by the resignation of Mr. P. C. Field, resulted in the re ’ /u of Mr. F. H. Clapham, by a majority of 224 votes. The voting was as f• • 'lows: F. TI. Clapham. 539; C. J. W< Barton. 315: C. H. Andrews, 113.
