Press Association. , GISBORNE, To-day. The Taranaki Oilfields Ltd. report that the Gisborne No. 1 well is down to a depth of 2,568 feet mostly in shale, but with hard limestone also present. There is a 6}in. diameter casing to 2,545 feet. At the Gisborne No. 2 well preparations have practically been completed for the start of drilling.
