HIDE AND SKIN VALUES
AU’CKLAND SALE Firm values ruled at the hide, skin and wool oddment sale held in Auckland this afternoon. The market for sheepskins Registered an advance of from ld # to 2d on last sale. A large percentage of the better grades of hides were passed in under the hammer, but sold privately afterwards at values fully up to reserves. A small offering of Southdown wool made 21$d: good crossbred made to 17id; lambs’ wool made 16d to 17d. For hides, 33-44, made to 12§d; 53-58, 12 Jd; 17-24, to 13d. Best salted sheepskins made to 9s; three-quarter to full woolled, fine, lold. a lb.
