TO TERRORISE LONDON

GUN-RUNNING PLOT By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Friday. Investigations by Scotland Yard throw a new light on the recent gunrunning plot. It appears that the arms were not intended for the Irish Republican Army, but were to be used to create a reign of terror in London. In the event of further trouble in Ireland, 300 men were to be available to stage miniature riots and resort to every means to prevent troops from going to Ireland. —A. and N.Z. A London cablegram of March 23 read: In connection with the gun-running from the Continent to Ireland for the Irish Republican Army, the Scotland Yard authorities have discovered 58 revolvers and 10,000 rounds of ammunition secreted at the London docks. It is believed that these came from Antwerp and were awaiting distribution.
