HINKLER MAKES RECORD Reed. 9.16 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. Australia’s airman, Mr. Bert Hinkler. made a non-stop flight from Melbourne to Cook above the trans-con-tinental railway, making a 1,000 miles record for Australia, and equalling his own flight from London to Rome.—A. and N.Z.
