NEW NUMBER PLATES Tardy motorists who have left tfc* securing of their new number plalfi» to the last minute have been suffer* ing the expected inconvenience dm* ; ing the past couple of days. Tlie Wellesley Street office, which is dealing with the re-registrations pot through 1,100 yesterday, and there was again a rush this morning. Number* of people were shut out last evening but it was not until half an hour after the doors closed that the office was closed, and the staff was able toBtiJJ on clearing up, an occupation that Ml* them busy until a late hour. The post office started issuing Dew plates several weeks ago, and rignw feels that it cannot be blamed for »■ inconvenience being experienced those who have not taken advantap of the period.
