FATAL CAPSIZE

CAR OVERTURNS AT BEND VERDICT AT INQUEST (From Our Own Correspondent.) PUTARURU, Friday. The inquest concerning the deaths of Anti re w Connor, farmer, of Puketurua, and Edward ITeckt, labourer, of Selwyn, who died in the Rotorua Hospital as a result of a metor accident, when their car overturned at a bend on the Arapuni Road, near Putaruru, on March 17, was held before Mr. S. L. Paterson, coroner, to-day. The evidence showed that the car capsized at a bend in the road while travelling at an excessive speed, and that all the occupants were sober. The verdicts returned were that Connor died on March 20 as a result of heart failure following the capsize of a car driven by himself, and that Heckt died on March 27 from respiratory failure, also as a result of the same accident.
