SOUTH ISLAND TROUBLES ACTION BY MOTOR UNION Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. At a meeting of the South Island Motor Union Mr. Abbott (North Otago) moved that some collective action be taken in an endeavour to prevent the speeding of motorists through small townships and villages. It was decided to set up notices in regard to speed. It was decided to ask the Government to take steps to accede to the union’s request to appoint a South Island motorists’ representative on the Main Highways Board.
