ranch about which the plot is built. The supporting cast includes Sally Rand, Otis Harlan, Frank Beal, Ed. Coxen, Duke R. Lee, Pee wee Holmes. Max Asher and Black Hawk.
“Silk Stockings” is admirably suited to the comedy talents of the beautiful blonde star, Laura la Plante. John Harron plays opposite her, while the supporting cast includes Otis Harlan, William Austin, Tempe Pigot, Marcella Daly, Ruth Cherrington, Heime Conklin and Burr Mclntosh. Wesley Ruggles directed.
The pranks that aviators would take time to play on each other when they know that in a few minutes they would be facing almost certain death, are vividly portraved in “The Lone Eagle,” a Universal-Jewel production. Raymond Keane and Barbara Kent are featured in the picture, which was directed by Emory Johnson. * * *
Paul Whiteman and his orchestra have honoured Dolores del Rio in' her new United Artists picture, “Ramona,” by making a Victor record of the new song, “Ramona,” published by Feist and composed by Mabel Wayne, with lyrics by L. Wolff Gilbert. Mabel Wayne composed “In a Little Spanish Town.”
