McLACHLIN—ROBERTSON

Beautiful cactus dahlias, roses and filmy maidenhair fern were mingled in all their fragrant charm in the exquisite shower bouquet carried by Lillie, the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Robertson, of Mokoia Road, Birkenhead, when she was married at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to Mr. H. McLachlin, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. McLachlin, of Clarence Street, Northcote. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Father Boyle. The bride’s father gave her away and the bridegroom was attended by Mr. K. Boyd as best man. The bridal gown was slenderly expressed in white satin faconne and opened in petal fashion to disclose an underdress of exquisite silver lace. From the waistline fell a long trail ofsilver flowers and orange blossoms, and the bride wore a dainty veil of lightly embroidered Brussels net, arranged in the form of a cap and caught at either side with clusters of orange blossom. Miss J. Aitkenhead attended as bridesmaid, wearing a becoming frock of hyacinth blue crepe de chine, fashioned on charmingly simple lines. A soft pink rose gave a touch of prettily contrasting colour to her hat of blue crinoline straw and was accentuated by her bouquet of pink chrysanthemums.
