ANOTHER HARBOUR SWIM

POINT CHEVALIER TO MILFORD ATTEMPT TO-MORROW WEEK Late as it is in the season, the craze for long-distance swimming shows no signs of diminishing, and the next aspirant to honours is Mr. J. D. Foster, who proposes to make an attempt on Sunday, April 8, to swim from Point Chevalier to Milford Beach. Mr. Foster, who is 53 years of age, has already covered the distance between Point Chevalier and Devonport, six miles. It is his intention to start about two hours before high tide. He will endeavour to swim for seven hours. Mr. Foster has extended an invitation to Mr. R. H. Stevenson, another distance swimmer, to accompany him, stating that it would create public interest as an endurance test.
