FOUND DEAD IN BUSH
HAMILTON TRAGEDY RIFLE BESIDE BODY (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. Hector Cole, a bread salesman, aged about 35, was found shot dead at 10.30 o’clock this morning in rough country off the Hamilton-Cambridge Jtoad. Alongside the body was found a bottle which had contained white fluid. Cole was also gripping the muzzle of a pearifle. He ha% a bullet wound over the heart. A bread van standing unattended alongside the road first attracted attention, and the police and others made a search of the rough country surrounding. The body was found by Mr. J. Bollard, after a long search. Cole, who lives in Hamilton East, was last seen alive by his wife at about 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon. He left the house carrying a peariflo, and his wife understood that he was going rabbit-shooting. He seemed to be in his usual spirits. Only a month ago he bought the house which he was occupying. The body was taken to the Hamilton mortuary. An inquest will be held later.
