DEVONPORT “BOTTLE-NECK”

DANGER TO BE REMOVED Members of the Devonport Borough Council this morning inspected the progress of improvements on Queen’s Parade waterfront. The lay-out of the roadway westward is to be modified so that the narrowing of the road forming a bottleneck complained of by residents will terminate beyond Anne Street, instead on on the wharf side of it. The alteration entails widening the street from 30 to 50 feet on the parade. Drivers of vehicles using the road will appreciate the extra width.
