THE GILMOUR CUP HOWICK V. PAPATOETOE The third and final round of the Gilmour Cup matches was played between the Howick and Papatoetoe Bowling Clubs, on the latter’s green yesterday afternoon. In the previous rounds, honours were even, each club registering a win, so keen interest was displayed in the final play-off, both teams fielding their strongest sides. In the first round, Howick gained a lead of 11 points, and was successful in holding the advantage in the next round. The Howick Club now holds the cup for one year. It has previously been held by the Papatoetoe Club for a few seasons. In addition to the cup matches, two .inter-club games were played, both resulting in a win for Papatoetoe.
