“A Half-pie” Job.—“A half-pie” job was the written comment of a Devonport ratepayer to his borough council last evening in criticising the method of tarring and sanding only five feet of the footpaths, on the curb side. He claimed that the pedestrians did not use that portion of the path, but walked near the fences for the sake of the shelter in wet weather.
