A WIDOW’S CLAIM
LOSS OF A SON COURT AWARDS £156 Press Association. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. In the Arbitration Court, Mrs. Fanny Phillips, a widow, claimed compensation from the Government for the death of her son, Dennis Phillips, who was killed whii© in the employ of the Public Works Department at Glenhope, Nelson. Plaintiff said she was partially dependent on her son’s earnings. The court awarded £156 and costs.
