CANADA AND THE LEAGUE By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright. OTTAWA, Tuesday. In discussing a plan presented to the House of Commons by Miss Agnes McPhail, Progressive member for Grey South-east, for the creation ot a department for international peace, the Prime Minister, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, outlined the Government’s attitude toward peace. He said Canada was closely identified with the League of Nations. She was taking a lead in the movement for a better international understand- “ The action of the Government in establishing a Legation at Washington was another step toward international goodwill and understanding The proposed Legations at Paris and Tokyo marked a further endeavour in the desired direction.
