BUSINESS MEN’S SUPPORT FURTHER LIMITED LOAN Press Association. GISBORNE, Tuesday. A meeting of Gisborne business men to-day decided to inform the Harbour I card of their support of Mr. L. H. Reynolds’s scheme to complete the new harbour, provided the department approves it; to urge the board to submit the scheme to public tender; to request the Government to abandon the holding of a commission of inquiry, or, if the inquiry is persevered with, that the board not employ counsel or engineering advice. It was also decided to inform the board that they would support a further loan to a limited extent.
