FELL ON TO STAKE
MAN’S HIP INJURED Mr. George Mclntosh, aged 41, a recent arrival from Timaru, fell on a stake yesterday, receiving severe injuries to hig thigh. He was watching work in the excavations at the old Opera House site in Wellesley Street, when he lost his balance, falling several feet. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and operation performed. Ho is progressing satisfactorily.
