Y.M.C.A. CONFERENCE

DELEGATES AT CHRISTCHURCH Press A ssocia t ion. CHRISTCHURCH. To-day. The Dominion Conference of the Y.M.C.A. opened to-day, Mr. H. K. Wilkinson, of Dunedin, presiding over an attendance of 40 delegates, who were welcomed by the Mayor, the Rev. J. K. Archer. The latter said that the work of the Y.M.C.A. had been of incalculable value, and it had a fine type of men as its leaders. He hoped the association would never be dominated by any section, though, unfortunately for the churches, it lacked 1 money, and it had to “keep sweet” with men who had money, but were not progressive. The conference is proceeding.
