HEAVY OVERSEAS MAIL

MARAMA HAS 800 BAGS On account of there being no Australian steamer to Auckland for nearly a fortnight, there was an exceptionally large mail on the Marama, which reached here this morning. Of the 800 bags which the vessel brought, 677 were for Auckland, representing letters from Australia, San Francisco and the East. The remainder will be distributed throughout the Dominion.
