CAR RUNS OVER BANK

DRIVER’S LEG BROKEN Mr. John Wood Grimshaw, of 81 Lake Hoad, Devonport had his leg broken when he fell from his motor-car early last evening. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the Devonport ambulance. Mr. Grimsliaw parked his car on a slope in Mount Albert Road. The brakes failed to hold the vehicle and it began to run backwards. Mr. Grimshaw jumped on the step and tried to regain control, but the car ran over a small bank and he was thrown heavily to the ground.
