IMPROVING TAKAPUNA
ACTIVE WORKS POLICY SEWERS IN THE BOROUGH Having settled its transport question to' advantage, Takapuna is now busy on a continuation- of its plans for providing facilities for residents. The sewering of the whole borough is being pushed ahead. In Belmont area reticulation is all but completed, 2,060 feet of 15-inch pipe out of a total of 2,160 ft having been laid. In the Seacliffe Road sector (east side), 300 ft of pipe out of 1,350 ft is in position. On the Bayswater main line 400 ft of 18-inch pipe has been laid out of the total length of 1,870 ft. Victoria Road reticulation is finished. At next week’s meeting of the borough council plans and estimates for the outfall from the Milford storage tanks will be considered preparatory to calling for tenders. The work on the storage tanks is well under way, 240 ft of the total length being completed.
