JjMFTEEN plants will be operating by April with a production of 2,000 daily. Henry Ford is now employing 120,000 workmen. The company hopes to have all of its 34 plants operating by June 1, with a production of 5,000 cars daily. To-day the Stock Exchange sales totalled 3,585,900 shares, making

the eleventh consecutive 3,000,000 share day. General Motors was a sensational feature, adding Si dollars a share, and closing at a record for the present shares of 187$. Traders on the exchange are beginning to feel the effects of the tremendous strain of the past two weeks, many nearing physical exhaustion during the session.—A. and N.Z.
