CAMERAMEN IN THE ANDES
PICTURES OF HEAD-HUNTERS A recent expedition of cameramen to the Andes, backed by William Fox, and headed by Dr. Herbert S. Dickey, has brought back some of the most remarkable and thrilling films ever photographed. These intrepid men travelled in the interests of the educational subjects, known as Fox Varieties, and which will probably be rereleased with programmes during the coming season. They contain intimate glimpses of these inhabitants of South America, giving vivid pictures of their lives, customs and tribal movements. The playful little habit of these jungle dwellers, of severing and preserving the heads of their victims, has been photographed for the first time. By keeping the original head, with the original features carefully preserved in the shrunken prize of victory, the Jivcros believe they will prevent his devils from returning to plague his slayers.
