CRASHES IN “WINGS”

THREE MADE DELIBERATELY Flirting with death is the profession of Dick Grace, daredevil and stunt man of the skies, who was under contract to Paramount during the filming of Lucien Hubbard’s production, “Wings.” Dick Grace started flying in 1914, when he was 16 years old. During his career as stunt expert Grace has crashed 25 planes. Seventeen of them were purposely wrecked and eight cracked up accidentally. From all of these crashes he escaped without permanent injury, although in one or two instances he received broken bones. In “Wings” three crashes were made deliberately by Grace, and were executed by him in pursuit of his profession. “Wings” has included in its cast Richard Arlen, Charles Rogers and Cl ara Bow.
