JUNE COLLYER
NEW FOX ARTISTE Another young lady has emerged from the ranks of society, and has joined the great ranks of motion picture actresses. This is. June Collyer, lovely little New Yorker/who plays the role of Josephine in “East Side, West Side,” with George O’Brien. Miss Collyer comes of a famous theatrical family, and it seemed that her life was destined to lie along the same lines, unless she led the existence of a social butterfly. However, she met Allan Dwan when he was casting for “East Side, West Side,” and he gave her a screen test, with the result that she was almost precipitated into pictures. So good was her work on the George O’Brien production that the Fox officials signed a contract with her, and she was sent West to the Hollywood Studios. Her first part in the west was in “Granma Bernle Learns Her Letters,” the title of which is no-wf to be changed to “Four Sons.” She is now playing in “Hangman’s House,” the picturisation of Donn Byrne’s famous novel.
